The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into HealthEquity Inc. the custodian of HSAs and a directed third-party administrator of FSA/HRA, Commuter, COBRA, and Lifestyle plans with respect to their recent data breach. On or around March 25, 2024, HealthEquity became aware of an unauthorized cybersecurity incident. HealthEquity immediately launched an investigation into the incident. The investigation was completed on or around June 26, 2024. The investigation determined certain personal and sensitive information was accessed. The type of information potentially exposed includes: first name, last name, address, telephone number, employee ID, employer, Social Security number, dependent information (for general contact information only), and payment card information (but not payment card number or HealthEquity debit card information).
