The three-day Taiwan Expo USA 2025 in Dallas drew enthusiastic participation from U.S. policymakers, business leaders, and the general public. The exhibition halls were packed with visitors, with long lines forming at multiple booths, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere throughout the event.

The flagship event—organized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), International Trade Administration (TITA), and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA)—has emerged as the premier platform for showcasing Taiwan’s national image and promoting Taiwan–U.S. exchange across industries. This year’s theme of “Shared Vision, Stronger Partnership” was vividly realized through immersive exhibitions, high-level forums, and dynamic cultural performances.

Distinguished Guests Celebrate Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony, presided over by James C. F. Huang, Chairman of TAITRA, brought together a distinguished delegation of leaders driving cross-border partnership. Their presence underscored the growing momentum in Taiwan–U.S. relations, with Texas emerging as a cornerstone of bilateral investment—now exceeding $12 billion—and ranking as Taiwan’s number one export destination among all U.S. states. Speakers included:

  • Ingrid Larson, Managing Director, Washington Office, American Institute in Taiwan
  • William Liu, Director General, International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs
  • Ashok Pinto, Executive Director, SelectUSA, U.S. Department of Commerce
  • Ambassador Alexander Tah-Ray Yui, ROC Taiwan’s Representative to the United States
  • Jane Nelson, Texas Secretary of State

The ceremony featured a stirring performance by Ten Drum Art Percussion Group and the inauguration of the Taiwan Trade and Investment Service Center in Dallas. The event set the tone for three days of innovation, cultural exchange, and strategic dialogue.

“Today, we stand at the forefront of progress and possibility—united by the shared vision of leaders, industry pioneers, and cultural ambassadors,” said Chairman Huang. “Taiwan Expo celebrates the spirit of innovation, partnership, and friendship that continues to connect Taiwan and the United States.”

Strategic Spotlight: Taiwan–U.S. Supply Chain Cooperation Forum

One of the Expo’s signature programming sessions, the Taiwan–U.S. Supply Chain Cooperation Forum, convened CEOs, policymakers, and global thought leaders to tackle one of the defining challenges of our time: how to build smarter, stronger, and more sustainable supply chains in industrial ecosystems.

Senior leaders from Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn), Phison, GlobalWafers, and the US-Taiwan Business Council examined strategic pathways in smart manufacturing and AI integration. Through keynote addresses and expert dialogue, they outlined actionable strategies for co-investment, regional industrialization, and intelligent alliances—reinforcing Taiwan’s pivotal role in strengthening global supply chain resilience.

Discussions noted how the rapid development of artificial intelligence is driving surging demand for computing power, technology supply chains, and data centers, positioning the U.S. as an attractive hub for AI applications and smart manufacturing. Speakers also highlighted the complementary strengths of Taiwanese engineering expertise and American software innovation, creating agile teams capable of responding quickly to market shifts. Texas, ranked as the world’s eighth-largest economy and a leader in U.S. exports for 23 consecutive years, was spotlighted as a key investment destination—home to 36% of U.S. semiconductor capacity, a robust university network, and incentives such as the Texas CHIPS Act.

Together, the forum’s insights reaffirmed that Taiwan–U.S. bilateral cooperation is a strategic commitment to fostering resilience, innovation, and mutual prosperity, laying the foundation for industrial transformation.

U.S. Business Day Debuts in Dallas

For the first time, U.S. Business Day was held in Dallas, bringing together 30 leading Taiwanese importers and 50 American companies for 140 one-on-one business matchmaking meetings. The U.S. delegation featured heavyweight participants, including North America’s largest dehydrated potato supplier and a premium California-based coffee chain.

Notably, buyers of advanced materials and equipment emphasized that sourcing U.S. raw materials can help circumvent tariffs imposed by U.S.–China trade policies, thereby strengthening competitiveness among semiconductor customers in the United States.

As more Taiwanese manufacturers establish production facilities in the U.S., the need to develop local suppliers has become increasingly urgent. This event not only enabled Taiwanese importers to expand their access to the U.S. supply chain but also sparked greater interest among American businesses in exploring opportunities in the Taiwan market.

Innovation on Display: More Than 100 Leading Taiwanese Brands

Taiwan Expo USA 2025 showcased over 100 leading Taiwanese brands across five dynamic key themes:

Cultural and Industry Programming Enriches the Experience
