Hong Wei Liao Participates in the 2026 Family Enterprise Advisor Program

Hong Wei Liao, Chairman of Botrich Family Wealth Heritage & Development, recently joined the 2026 Toronto Blended Cohort of the Family Enterprise Advisor Program, a nationally recognized executive education program offered through Family Enterprise Canada.

The Family Enterprise Advisor, or FEA, Program is designed for experienced professional advisors who work with business families and family enterprises. According to Family Enterprise Canada, the program helps advisors better understand the complex issues involved in family businesses, including ownership, governance, communication, succession, family dynamics, and long-term enterprise continuity. The program includes six modules, a capstone project, and a certification process over approximately 12 months. It is delivered through a combination of online and in-person learning, including participation in the FEA Forum.

For Ms. Liao, joining the FEA Program represents an important step in deepening her professional knowledge and expanding the advisory value she provides to families, entrepreneurs, and business owners. The FEA Program is especially meaningful because family wealth planning is not only about financial products or investment strategies. For many families, true legacy planning requires a thoughtful understanding of family relationships, decision-making structures, business succession, governance, and the emotional responsibilities that come with transferring wealth and leadership from one generation to the next.

This learning experience will further strengthen Botrich’s ability to support families in areas such as family wealth preservation, business continuity, estate and succession planning, family governance, and next-generation preparation. It also reflects Botrich’s commitment to building a more professional, integrated, and long-term advisory platform for families seeking both financial security and meaningful legacy development.

As Canada’s family enterprises continue to play an essential role in the economy, there is a growing need for advisors who understand not only wealth but also family, ownership, leadership, and continuity. Family Enterprise Canada reports that family enterprises generate almost half of Canada’s private-sector GDP and nearly 7 million jobs, underscoring the importance of specialized advisory support in this field.

By participating in the 2026 FEA Program, Hong Wei Liao continues to demonstrate her dedication to professional growth, client service, and the long-term success of business families. Her involvement will bring valuable new perspectives to Botrich’s family wealth heritage and development services, helping the company better serve families who wish to preserve wealth, pass on values, and build lasting prosperity across generations.
