Forest Healthcare Announces Outcomes of Fundraising Efforts

Over the course of the year, the Forest Healthcare group has been collectively fundraising in support of the Care Workers Charity, with a guest speaker from the charitable organisation in attendance.

CEO Amanda Scott was personally involved, having completed a skydive towards the cause, with other team members taking on sponsored 5K walks, virtual cycle challenges equivalent to the distance between Lands’ End and John O’Groats, dog walking, raffles, and multiple other initiatives, events and activities.

The group raised a remarkable £10K in total, which was presented to Neil Flack on the day. The Care Workers Charity was founded in 2009 and supports care professionals by preventing financial hardship, providing support for mental well-being, and offering crisis grants to those in need.

To date, the charity has assisted over 12,000 care workers facing personal struggles and contributed over £6 million in grant funding alongside its Mental Health Support Programme.

Forest Healthcare’s Core Living Values

Now in its second year, the awards ceremony is focused on celebrating and promoting the highest standards of care, where the support, compassion and kindness carers and broader teams provide their residents showcase the principles and ethos of the group.

The Core Values spell out CARERS and clarify the specific principles that contribute towards the mission to provide family-feel care with respect and dignity for every person who works within the Forest Healthcare group, accesses its services as a resident, or uses the company to care for the needs of a loved one.

CEO Amanda Scott reflected on the event, saying, 'What a wonderful celebration and recognition of our Core Living Values at our conference at The Village Hotel.

It was great to see so many managers and care teams together and to enjoy the energy and atmosphere they brought to the occasion. It was a fantastic day, and we were delighted with the outcome of all the planning that went into this special event.

Thank you to all of our superb care teams and partners for attending and for providing support and updates. We hope to carry this positive energy and momentum into the coming months as we continue to champion all things Forest Healthcare and our values-based care approach.’
