-- Irish healthtech company SPRYT has been selected for the prestigious Google for Startups Growth Academy: AI for Health, becoming the only startup from Ireland to join the international accelerator programme. The selection marks a significant milestone for the Monaghan-founded company, which is rapidly emerging as a leader in AI-driven patient engagement technology.
The three-month hybrid programme, beginning in May, will bring together 25 high-potential startups from across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia that are using artificial intelligence to improve health outcomes. The accelerator provides participants with access to Google’s network of technical experts, healthcare specialists, and startup mentors, as well as support in scaling operations responsibly and effectively.
SPRYT’s inclusion in the programme follows a year of rapid growth, including the launch of multiple pilots across the NHS in the UK. The company’s flagship solution, Asa, is an AI-native receptionist that allows patients to manage, reschedule, and pay for appointments through popular messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and SMS. Asa has been developed to improve healthcare access, reduce no-shows, and ease the administrative burden on clinical staff by providing 24/7 multilingual support.
